There still is a widespread prejudice against exercise for those who are over the age of 25. To a large number of people, it presumably wears you out, causing an unpleasant life and a premature death. To people who believe in working out, this is laughable. In the face of 95 year old Jack Lalanee with his daily two hour workouts, it is completely absurd.

Yet there may be some truth in this anti-exercise belief . For some people exercise tears them down instead of building them up. Possibly this is due to bad genes. Many who refuse to spend time at the health club think this. Some folks simply believe that they are constitutionally incapable of directly benefiting from a regular routine.

If you are regularly working out, experiencing all of the positive effects of doing so, you may think that those who do not do it are lying to themselves by making these types of excuses. Perhaps this is more often true than not, but there be another more convincing factor. That may have to do with cellular oxidation, colloquially called rusting out.

This is what we all experience as a result of doing our workouts. Without anti-oxidants immediately after working out, you can experience  fatigue. Going through this set of feelings day after day over a period of a month will cause anyone to give up his routine.

Supplementation is a relatively new phenomenon. Not too long ago there were only a handful of health food stores for each major city. Now there is at least one per suburb with a seeming endless supply of them on the internet. They all sell antioxidants such as multi-vitamins, acai berries and green tea. This is hardly radical. Even the corner drug store does the same.

Not everyone is comfortable using these supplements, however. There are still folks who believe in three meals a day taking it easy on the weekends and making sure sure that they exert as little effort as possible in the completion of their daily obligations. To them , the idea of taking a strong multi-vitamin immediately after working out  is a waste of time and money. It may even be too risky as it was not prescribed by their MD.They believe that the three meals will give them everything that they need to make through the day and that the cost for something that the body will just reject anyway is unjustifiable.

Nevertheless, that one little pill, filled with Vitamins A,C, E along with some green tea or acai could make all the difference in their workouts. If only they would take one of these after going to the club and along with their normal daily food intake, they might find themselves never having felt better because they would never even think of missing a workout. Over a decade, that could make a huge difference in the overall healthiness of our nation.
